Combines high-level industry and consulting experience with a successful record in international trade and business journalism.

Former IBM systems engineer. Became regular contributor to the Economist, BusinessWeek, Newsweek, New Scientist (European editor), Datamation (European editor), SCRIP, Electronics and the BBC, as well as other industry publications in eight countries. Managed Regis McKenna’s southern Europe operation 1985-87. MA Oxford. Bilingual English-French.

Gilles Petitot

Director for France, has more than eight years experience in managing international technology PR. Well-versed in IT and biotech, Gilles has spoken at conferences about the role and efficiency of Public Relations.

Leads an international team of consultants working with French and international companies in France, Europe and the US. Before joining ALA, Gilles spent four years managing the press relations department of a PR firm specialised in computing, telecommunications and the internet (with clients such as BEA, Cabletron and Lucent).

A former student of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, he has a degree in journalism studies (French Institute of Press) and a Maîtrise (Bachelor of Arts) in Contemporary History and Law. French, German, English.
